2. What this policy covers

We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you request one of our free resources (such as the 52-Week Self-Reliance Planner), how we use it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have. We are based in the European Union and follow the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR); if you are in the United States, the CAN-SPAM Act also applies to the emails we send you.

3. Signing up for our free resources

When you request a free resource, we collect your email address (and your first name if you choose to give it). We use it to send you the resource you asked for and, occasionally, emails with practical tips and news about our books. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email or by writing to contact@esterel-edit.com. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you may withdraw at any time. We keep your data for as long as you are subscribed; after you unsubscribe, your address is kept on a suppression list so that you receive no further emails from us.

4. Hosting and email delivery

This website is hosted by systeme.io (Systeme.io SAS, France), which stores the data you submit through our forms and sends our emails on our behalf under a data-processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR). When you visit the site, technically necessary server logs are processed (IP address, date and time, page visited, browser and operating system) on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

5. Cookies

We only use technically necessary cookies needed to run the site and to process your sign-up. We do not use advertising trackers. You can delete or block cookies at any time in your browser settings.

6. Sharing your data

We never sell your data. We share it only with the service providers named above who help us run the website and send emails, or where the law requires us to.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to object to processing. A short email to contact@esterel-edit.com is enough. You may also lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority. We do not use profiling or automated decision-making.

8. Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our processing or the law changes. The version published on this page applies.
